Associate Director Evidence Based Solutions Position Description

1.Direct organization to plan and manage overall external investigator research program, establish consistent practices across all Therapeutic Areas while ensuring continued awareness of constantly changing external environment in regards to externally initiated research.
2.Plan and manage overall external investigator research across all functional areas within budget, headcount and timelines.
3.Represents affiliate research at headquarter location and ensures timely processing of all affiliate research.
4.Represents Medical Research Support function at key meetings and interactions with International colleagues.?

Associate Director Evidence Based Solutions Key Responsibilities Include:
1.Subject Matter Expert (SME) for external initiated research and proposal review of affiliate research.
2.Management of all phases including due diligence, contract development/execution and management of relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
3.Budgetary responsibility for ensuring development of acceptable study budgets, contract development and execution, payments and tracking of work performed for US Investigator Initiated Research and Rest of World External Initiated Research.
4.Management of all externally initiated research, including personnel development, mentoring and effective delegation to direct reports to meet program goals.
5.Effectively communicate program information through the planning and execution of meetings and presentations and present recommendations to senior staff.
6.Membership and accountability on Scientific Review Committees.
7.Actively monitor the clinical and regulatory environment within the context of externally initiated research and translate learning into strategy, policy and process, as necessary to broader organization.
8.Effective coordination of all functional areas involved in the execution of all externally initiated research and affiliate research to solve problems and assure progress.
9.Develop and streamline processes and procedures across groups to decrease timelines, effort and resources associated with externally initiated and affiliate research.
10.Manage performance management process, growth planning, professional development as well as succession planning in the team; Provide leadership and guidance to medical research support staff.

Associate Director Evidence Based Solutions Basic Requirements and Details:
1.Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required; typically in nursing or scientific field.
2.Advanced degree is desirable.
3.Must have 8+ years of direct clinical research experience and 6+ years of clinical research management.
4.Global experience required.
5.Management experience in other pharmaceutical positions desirable.
