A privately held asset management firm located in Austin, TX is seeking a Life Actuary at the Vice President level for their Life Insurance business. Our client is an industry leading asset manager dedicated to providing mortality focused investment options to institutions and individual investors. The organization currently operates investment solutions for both hedge fund and private equity clients. The ideal candidate must have experience with actual to expected analytics in longevity, predictive drivers of longevity and mortality, and understand comprehensively how UL/VUL/WL products are built. This is a newly established position due to growth within the organization.

Actuarial Responsibilities:
-Reporting directly to management this role has a direct impact on key business decisions
-Transform conceptual ideology to practical strategic initiative, ownership of the entire process
-Implement predictive analytics with traditional actuarial practices
-Utilize advanced modeling techniques to determine mortality & longevity risk
-Provide expert analysis of various Life Insurance polices (UL/VUL/WL), and financial components/supporting product assumptions

Actuarial Qualifications:
-Minimum 8 Years experience working within a Life Insurance Company or consulting firm
-Previous experience with pricing or product development of UL/VUL/WL polices
-Expert level computer skills in Excel or actuarial software (GGY Axis, MG-Alfa, etc.)
-Associate or Fellow in the Society of Actuaries
