A creative and innovative custom market research firm located in NYC is looking for a new Research Manager. This firm leverages deep expertise within the social sciences and is looking for their next researcher within the media and entertainment space, although working knowledge of all industries is preferred.


Responsibilities:
- Translate business objectives into qualitative and quantitative research plans
- Manage the development of research instruments and thoughtful approaches to data analysis
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to gain understanding of consumers and how they connect to our clients' businesses
- Moderate qualitative research across a broad range of methods
- Guide teams in translating research findings into key insights and implications for our clients
- Lead the development and presentation of reports that communicate key insights and recommendations - Build and manage client relationships


Requirements:
- Have a graduate degree in the social sciences (e.g., psychology, anthropology), marketing or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in market research, or in a brand/marketing consulting role that involves hands-on primary research
- Experience in qualitative research in particular, including moderating across a range of qualitative methods; expertise in digital research methods desired
- Proven leadership skills and exceptional track record in client management
- Experience in one or more of the following industries: media and entertainment, retail, consumer goods, food and beverage, travel and hospitality
- Have the desire and willingness to work as part of a team and the skills necessary to lead teams
- Demonstrate an aptitude for business development
- A curiousity about people, what drives them, and why they do what they do
- Thrive within an enthusiastic and high energy environment
