The Medical Director Oncology will be a member of the Hematology team and provide specialist medical and scientific strategic and operational input into core medical affairs activities such as:
1.Health-care professional or provider interactions
2.Generation of clinical and scientific data
3.Educational initiatives such as medical education, data, guidelines and value proposition
4.Safeguarding patient safety such as risk minimization activities and safety surveillance activities
5.Collaborate with R&D and clinical development teams to support product development.
6.Work closely with marketing and commercial teams to provide strategic medical input into core brand strategies, and to support medical marketing activities and market access.
7.Provide scientific and technical support for assigned products
8.Deliver scientific presentations
9.Develops and maintains professional and credible relationships with, key opinion leaders
10.Actively participate in relevant Brand Teams and helps develop medical affairs strategies for assigned products
11.Develop innovative research concepts for clinical data generation
12.Provide relevant scientific and technical training
Medical Director Medical Affairs Oncology (AML) Key Responsibilities Include:
1.Develop global medical affairs plan for product life cycle management.
2.Responsible for timely execution of medical affairs plan within budget.
3.In cooperation with affiliate and regional medical teams, marketing, regulatory, clinical and other functional areas, provides leadership, oversight and support for assigned products and projects.
4.Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as R&D, commercial, regional medical teams as well as external stakeholders including key opinion leaders, advocacy and cooperative groups.
5.Acts as medical expert and leader in interactions with external stakeholders such as regulatory authorities and key opinion leaders.
6.Represent at medical meetings, conferences, advisory boards, outreach meetings at key institutions, and in interactions with key opinion leaders.
Medical Director Medical Affairs Oncology (AML) Basic Qualifications:
1.Medical Doctorate (M.D.) degree or equivalent (D.O. or non-US equivalent of M.D. meet requirements) with relevant therapeutic specialty (Oncology/Hematology) in an academic or hospital environment.
2.Completion of residency and/or fellowship is preferred.
3.Experience in oncology Hematology is highly preferred.
4.National license to practice medicine with relevant therapeutic specialty in an academic or hospital environment.
5.Academic qualification (Dr med or equal). Completion of residency and/or fellowship is preferred.
6.Minimum of 5-7 years of Medical Affairs and/or research and development experience in the biotech/ pharmaceutical industry. 7+ years of experience is preferred.
7.Must have an in-depth understanding of Medical Affairs role and process.
8.Ex-Us: At least one further major international language is preferred.
9.Must have an in-depth understanding of the Clinical Development process for Phase I-IV or extensive knowledge of Pharmaceutical Development including compliance and regulatory
