Job Description - BIG PICTURE

-Our Senior Data Scientist will work to improve existing products, analyses, and processes, as well as build new ones.
-You will be a critical part of establishing which methodological, statistical and analytical approaches to use across our core problem sets.
-You will design end to end analytics solutions for corporate, brand, advocacy and political advertisers.

Job Description - DETAILS

-Extract, clean and process data that meets the 4 "V's" of big data: it is Voluminous and Varied, and it has Velocity and Veracity.
-Build complex statistical models and algorithms and use machine learning to solve difficult problems. For example, you will be building optimizers, recommenders, classifiers, and predictive models.
-Develop and implement data products to help media agencies identify the ideal market basket of programming to purchase and to help advertisers adapt their advertising strategy based on an ever changing set of circumstances.
-Visualize complex data sets and analyses both as fixed images and as interactive graphics. Company prides itself on the high quality of its data visualizations.
-Identify and evaluate new data sources. We are constantly looking for new data sets to add to our system. You will be critical to figuring out what data sets to add and how to integrate them.
-Design and run experiments. Company believes in a culture of measurement, optimization and accountability, and as such we are constantly testing. You will help run these tests from start to finish.
-Conduct surveys. As part of our process we frequently run multi-mode surveys, and you will be expected to analyze the results and integrate these data and findings into our systems.
-Mentor junior staff. We have a group of smart, driven and curious employees excited to learn from an expert in the field.

Qualifications

-Master's degree in statistics, machine learning, physics, computer science, or a Bachelor's degree and outstanding work experience
-Up to 5 years' experience of working in analytical environments
-Expertise in analytical tools such as R/MATLAB/SAS/Stata
-Experience in scripting languages such as Python/Ruby/PHP etc.
-Experience with relational databases and usage of SQL
-Experience in Big data technologies (Hadoop, HIVE, PIG, Spark etc.) and unstructured data
-Experience with Object Orientated programming via Java/C++
-Experience with business intelligence tools such as Alteryx, KNIME, RapidMiner, Tableau, or Spotfire.
-Experience with survey methodology
-Experience with experimental methods
-Experience working with messy, imprecise, and approximate data.
-Experience stitching together disparate data sets.
-Experience using applied statistics with large, complicated datasets
-Experience manipulating large volume, high frequency data for analytical purposes using Big Data platforms
-Deep knowledge of modern data-mining, machine learning and statistical methods
