The Senior Director, Global Medical Information is accountable for leading the strategic transformation and operational execution of a world class Medical Information organization globally. This includes leadership of a globally deployed team of Medical Information professionals to meet business need across on-market and pipeline assets. This role will oversee all operational execution aspects of this function including inquiry intake, content creation, request fulfillment, technology enablement, resourcing, while ensuring the highest standards of compliance and metric reporting.

Key Areas of Focus:
1.This role is accountable for the strategic vision to evolve the Medical Information capability to ensure that patients and healthcare professionals around the world have access to the information on products to address their questions in innovative, effective and efficient manner while ensuring a strong external customer experience.
2.This role is accountable to ensuring Medical Information responses are strategically aligned with communication objectives and data, while leveraging external stakeholder insights to inform initiatives and business priorities.
3.This role is accountable for transforming and evolving the frontline capabilities across countries and geographical areas for responding to medical information inquiries in an aligned and consistent manner while maximizing the customer experience.
4.This role will be a key strategic partner with cross functional stakeholders including Pharmacovigilance, Quality Assurance, Medical Affairs Global and US Therapeutic Area Teams, Clinical Development and Commercial at the Global, Area and Affiliate levels.

Responsibilities:
1.Oversee and lead a team of Medical Information professionals globally including team of 40 with direct line reporting accountability and indirect reporting responsibilities of approximately 100 individuals across greater than 50 affiliates inclusive of front line call center staff.
2.Leads strategic direction for Medical Information capability globally to ensure is strategically and optimally addressing external stakeholder informational needs and questions, in a timely manner, for on-market and pipeline products and services.
3.Build, maintain, and optimize future vision of Medical Information capabilities globally to ensure medical information needs of customers are met within evolving healthcare landscape.
4.Lead the creation of relevant standards, SOPs, and supporting training to ensure Medical Information capabilities and activities are aligned globally and are being executed to a common standard and high degree of excellence to meet business needs.
5.Requires strong working partnership across multiple functions including OEC and Legal.
6.Lead the lifecycle investment approach for medical information globally across all geographical regions including the United States to optimize and align medical information resources/staff across countries and geographical regions to ensure Therapeutic Area and other business priorities and strategies are appropriately resourced.

Qualifications:
1.Education: Advanced degree in related healthcare field. Doctorate degree preferred.
2.Experience: 10+ years of pharmaceutical experience, with direct people management and demonstrated leadership success in a Pharmaceutical or Biotech Company. 5+ years of pharmaceutical management experience required with demonstrated understanding of the complexities and success of working in the global pharmaceutical environment.
3.5+ years in a senior leadership role within a Medical Information/Medical Communications function preferred.
