Role:
"This position will lead a strategy for aligning current and historical data sources and repositories as well as new, real-time data sources with input/processing/output and security requirements.

"The person will be responsible primarily to create and lead a robust strategy to support the efficient execution of data acquisition, transfer, storage, and analytics as well as customer-facing data product and service development.

Responsibilities include:
"Provide thought leadership to business and technical teams on best practices for data security policy, procedures, tools and talent. Interface with associated corporate entities to benchmark and share talent, processes, tools, and best practices.
"Work with internal business partners to understand the business and associated data flows and drive understanding on how new business initiatives affect the governance and security strategy and vice versa
"Align to execute policy and procedure to ensure efficient and secure data management activities and data governance policies are followed
"Coordinate with business partners to define, standardize, and implement data governance and security strategy, policies, processes, procedures, and controls in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements to meet business needs.
"Create and execute a robust data governance framework for aligning both current and emerging data sources, destinations, processing and exchange methods
"Ensure compliance of company's data-related business activities with global regulatory framework as well as contractual obligations to external stakeholders including customers, vendors and other business partners

Know How :
"Master's Degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
"Strong understanding of data governance concepts
"Strong technical/functional understanding of systems
"Understanding of the regulatory environment and expectations
"Expert process analysis skills
"Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
"Leader and influencer to enable driving of results
Qualifications
"Minimum 10+ years of experience in data management and/or security strategy, planning, and policy
"Minimum 6 + years of experience in project management or leading a data management team
"Experience in large/global enterprise big data initiatives
"Experience with international regulatory environment .
"Experience in product development industry a plus
"Ability for domestic and international travel up to 20%
