Senior Regional Medical Liaison, Inflammation & Bone Position Description
Department: Medical Affairs - Field/Remote
Territory: Washington, DC, MD, VA, WV

The disease therapeutic area for the Sr. Regional Medical Liaison (RML) is within the Inflammation and Bone Health Medical Science Liaison team and will interact with healthcare decision makers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to communicate and advance the company's scientific platform with our corporate goals and objectives. The RML is the front line position in assuring accurate, clear and valued information regarding our science and products to many stakeholder classes within the healthcare community. The successful RML will present complex, leading-edge scientific based information combined with research concepts to medical decision-makers including those at Academic Medical Centers. The RML field force will often include providing clinical and economic outcomes information to payers and formulary healthcare roles. Also, the RML will intake information from KOLs from field interactions and scientific support consistent with company research, product support, and specific role and duties.

Sr. Regional Medical Liaison Responsibilities:
1.Communicate with KOLs to present and advance the scientific platform as aligned with company's corporate goals and objectives
2.Present complex leading-edge scientific details and research concepts to healthcare decision makers including those at academic medical centers
3.Communicate clinical and economic value to payers and formulary decision makers
4.Assist with the submission of investigator sponsored research proposals
5.Assist with company sponsored research
6.Organize feedback based on interactions with KOLs
7.Coordinate scientific support consistent with the RML compliance standards for sales corporate account and other matrix colleagues-facilitated HCP inquiries
8.Engage and develop scientific relationships between company and fellows-in-training
9.Participate in project teams and committees that support RML strategies and tactics as directed
10.Support the RML value proposition and set an example for others to follow by consistently demonstrating company values through leadership attributes
11.Deploy strong interpersonal skills while interacting with others. Exemplify openness and innovation through words, actions and deeds. Share RML learning including entrepreneurial and innovative ideas with colleagues and be self-accountable for collaboration goals

Basic Sr. Regional Medical Liaison Qualifications
1.Doctorate degree
2.2 years of Medical Science Liaison experience

Preferred Sr. Regional Medical Liaison Qualifications
1.PharmD, PhD, MD or DO (other Doctoral degrees considered)
2.Minimum of seven years of experience in a medically-related field, including at least one year focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research. Experience in a medically-related field can include post-doctoral training (such as residencies or fellowships).
3.Minimum of two years medical science liaison role in a biotech or pharmaceutical company
4.Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a healthcare company
5.Experience and expertise in Inflammation and Bone Health (Osteoporosis) therapeutic area
