The Data Scientist will serve as a technical expert and provide state of the art analytic implementations and insights.
Data Scientist Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with statistical modeling experts to rapidly deploy newly developed models
-Analyze and/or supervise analysis performed by others on vast amounts of complex pricing-related data to assess and enhance model performance, data integrity, and system reliability
-Ability to explore newer open source big data technologies like Hadoop, cloud etc.
Data Scientist Requirements:
-Ability to efficiently construct data sets from large scale distributed environments
-Experience with R, Python, or SAS as well as SQL and data visualization software such as Tableau
-Experience with machine and statistical learning areas such as classification, regression, clustering, and text analysis
-Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent
-Intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial drive, innovative structured thinking and problem solving skills
-Comfortable in a small, intense high-growth start up environment
-Research innovations and best practices related to data science techniques and processing large data sets
-Assess the methodologies and processes used to develop and manage models, identifying potential weaknesses and the associated materiality of the risk
-Experience managing team-based projects and delivering timely results
