Position: Actuary - Model Development
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Compensation: $170K – $180K Base + Bonus
Actuarial Summary:
FSA-level actuarial professional with expertise in life and annuity valuation, actuarial modeling, and reinsurance transaction integration. This role supports Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet (EBS) valuation while leading key actuarial aspects of new reinsurance deal onboarding. Responsibilities include model development, valuation process enhancements, financial reporting support, and cross-functional collaboration with pricing, data, and technology teams. Ideal candidates bring strong technical modeling capabilities, knowledge of life and annuity products, and experience with valuation frameworks, governance standards, and scalable actuarial solutions supporting strategic business growth.
Key Skills & Requirements
• FSA designation with strong actuarial modeling and valuation experience
• Expertise in Bermuda EBS, US Statutory, and US GAAP valuation principles
• Knowledge of life and annuity products including FIA, VA, RILA, UL, and PRT
• Experience supporting reinsurance transactions and pricing-to-valuation model transitions
• Strong understanding of asset-liability modeling, governance, and controls
• Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across actuarial, pricing, and technology teams
