Job Description

Title: Reinsurance Actuary
Salary: $175,000 - $200,000 + Bonus
Location: New York, NY

Summary: 
This role leads reinsurance operations for life and annuity products, acting as the key liaison across internal functions and external partners. The position oversees a small actuarial team, evaluates the financial impact of treaty structures, ensures accurate execution of agreements, and provides strategic insights to senior leadership. Success requires strong actuarial expertise, communication skills, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of actuarial or reinsurance experience; ASA/FSA designation preferred
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and treaty analysis
  • Solid understanding of life and annuity products, including pricing and assumptions
  • Experience collaborating with administrators, reinsurers, and other stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and grow actuarial staff
