Job Description

Position: Associate Actuary 
Location: Hybrid, New York Metro
Salary: $120,000-140,000 + Bonus

Actuarial Summary:
Our client is a leader in the life (re)insurance space, specializes in acquiring in-force life insurance and annuities. This actuarial role is part of a valuation team working across multiple business areas, including financial reporting, experience analysis, and capital management. Responsibilities include calculating STAT/GAAP reserves, assisting in asset adequacy testing, maintaining valuation models, and supporting regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of actuarial experience, proficiency in actuarial software, strong analytical skills, and is working toward or holds an ASA designation.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:
  • Support financial projections and variance analysis for management review.
  • Assist in valuation platform conversions and system validations.
  • Experience in US Statutory or GAAP reserving or financial reporting, with a strong understanding of insurance and reinsurance products.
  • 4+ year working within an Insurance carrier or consulting firm
  • ASA or near ASA (5+ exams)
