Job Description

Title: Business Analyst
Location: Dallas, TX
Salary: $95,000 – 115,000

Senior role responsible for leading system enhancements and modifications to deposit insurance calculator ETL.  This individual will partner with a team of business subject matter experts and technology partners to identify areas for improvement in deposit insurance calculator logic and processes, develop comprehensive requirements and action plans, and lead multiple phases of testing prior to successful deployment of enhancements, corrections, and updates into production.

-Necessitates management of multiple projects concurrently.   
-Strong written and verbal skills required for drafting and communicating business requirements.
-Extensive experience with SQL for querying the calculator’s database.
-Experience with Bank Regulatory Reporting, Axiom experience would be ideal.
-Ideal candidate will be a self-starter that can take the initiative on leading a technical initiative from start to finish with minimal direction.
-Database experience within the financial services industry.  Ideally, the candidate will have some understanding of banking products/bank balance sheet.
-Experience working with developers in a production role.
-Role will be heavily project based with a transition to BAU functions over time.

Paul Chatlos joined Smith Hanley in 2013. He is currently the Data Science and Analytics Practice Lead for the East and West Coasts and a Principal of the company. Prior to joining Smith Hanley, he recruited marketing professionals in the pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology industries and also worked in Physician Recruitment. He prides himself on building excellent relationships with both clients and candidates in order to best address their hiring needs and career goals. He also believes that recruiting is finding the best “match” of candidate and opportunity. 

He holds a BS in Psychology from James Madison University. Outside of work, Paul enjoys playing golf regularly and is an avid sports fan.
