Title- Director, US Commercial Forecasting -PHARMA
Location -100% US Remote
Salary  $190- 220k + bonus + LTI

My client, a Mid Size Pharma Company, is  seeking a Director, US Commercial Forecasting Lead to join  their growing Portfolio Planning & Market Insights team. Reporting to the Head of Global Market Insights & Forecasting, you will drive the development and strategic execution of forecasts for launch and commercial programs, expanding our forecasting capabilities. This position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with teams across Commercial, Finance, Manufacturing, and R&D.
In this role, you will utilize market knowledge, data, research, marketing plans, and internal expertise to refine assumptions and update forecasts. As a strategic thought partner, you will work with various teams to identify risks and opportunities and adjust forecasts accordingly to optimize decision-making. Your emotional intelligence and communication skills will be key in influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strategic short- and long-term forecasting models for both pipeline and commercial programs, providing actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Lead the forecast review process for both inline and pipeline products, explaining forecast changes over time.
  • Coordinate sales forecast assumptions during the annual strategic planning process.
  • Leverage forecasts to identify key business questions and recommend market research or analytics to refine forecasts.
  • Partner with Finance to develop product-level P&Ls and collaborate with Supply Chain for demand planning.
  • Manage the repository of forecasts, ensuring consistency in analysis and process.
  • Identify product performance risks and opportunities, working with cross-functional teams to develop strategies and tactics.
  • Translate forecast insights into actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of quantitative analytical experience, including 4+ years in the healthcare industry (preferably biopharmaceuticals).
  • Proven expertise in forecasting techniques, including both inline and pipeline product forecasting.
  • Familiarity with data sets like IQVIA, Symphony, and claims data.
  • Experience in forecasting for rare diseases is essential.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence teams without direct authority.
  • Bachelor's degree required;  MA degree preferred.
