Title: Director of Underwriting - Health
Location: Remote
Salary: $160,000-$175,000 + 20% Targeted Bonus

Summary:
Our client is a large insurance carrier looking to enhance their Underwriting division with the addition of an accomplished Director to lead an established team. This individual will work closely with senior leadership including the organizations Chief Actuary and Senior Risk Officers to ensure company Underwriting copalites remaining at the forefront on innovation while aligning with targeted improvement goals.

Requirements and Responsibilities
-7+ years working in an Underwriting or Actuarial role with in issuance carrier
-MBA, actuarial certification (ASA, FSA), or related advanced degree required
-Proficiency in linking underwriting procedures with the company's financial performance by utilizing internal financial reports
-Oversees financial risk management to achieve specific pricing targets, margin objectives, and subscriber growth goals
-Collaborates with the Vice President, Actuarial to establish and manage financial objectives that align with company strategy
-Previous managerial experience required, proven record of team building, motivating staff
-Knowledge of advancements in underwriting technologies and efficiencies
-Experience in Dental & Vision related health products required
