Overview

We're seeking an Full-Stack AI Integrations Engineer to join the team building our interactive video application.

We develop innovative ways to understand and engage with video content through unique AI-propelled viewer interactions and analytics. We work with some of the largest media and technology companies in the world (Paramount, NBC Universal, Amazon, Disney, Roku, etc.) to help them better connect their content and brands with their audiences.

Full-Stack AI Integrations Engineer Job Description

As a Full-Stack AI Integrations Engineer you'll work in a distributed team to prototype and implement new features driven by third-party AI tools and models, evaluate integrations for quality and consistency, and explore & experiment with emerging multi-modal AI capabilities as a subject matter expert. Proficiency with Javascript and engineering production-ready integrations is key.

•              DevOps: Docker, Terraform, Cypress

Full-Stack AI Integrations Engineer Qualifications

Full-Stack AI Integrations Engineer Required:
 
  • Strong familiarity with AI services landscape and emerging third-party AI services across modalities and their potential applications.
  • Deep understanding of OpenAI's models and API offerings (function calling, assistants, evaluations, fine tuning), including experience with the nuances of prompting. 
  • Experience with a variety of other services & models such as Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, Llama, Mixtral, etc., and understanding of the differences is expected.
  • Expertise in Retrieval Augmented Generation techniques leveraging embeddings and vector databases
  • Ability to integrate AI services into products effectively, translating AI knowledge into practical backend/full-stack implementations.
  • Expertise in TypeScript/Javascript and Node.JS
  • Expertise developing third-party service integrations
  • Experience with NoSQL databases and backend service design

Paul Chatlos joined Smith Hanley in 2013. He is currently the Data Science and Analytics Practice Lead for the East and West Coasts and a Principal of the company. Prior to joining Smith Hanley, he recruited marketing professionals in the pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology industries and also worked in Physician Recruitment. He prides himself on building excellent relationships with both clients and candidates in order to best address their hiring needs and career goals. He also believes that recruiting is finding the best “match” of candidate and opportunity. 

He holds a BS in Psychology from James Madison University. Outside of work, Paul enjoys playing golf regularly and is an avid sports fan.
