A fast-growing behavioral science and market research technology company is seeking a Head of Product & AI Engineering to lead the development and scaling of its next generation of AI-enabled research tools.

This organization sits at the intersection of behavioral science, artificial intelligence, and market research, helping companies better understand human decision-making and behavior at scale.

What You’ll Lead

Scaling AI Innovation into Real Products

A core part of this role will be taking promising AI concepts and turning them into scalable systems used internally and externally.

You will:

  • Work closely with an innovation and prototyping team to identify which experimental models and concepts should move into production
  • Lead the development of AI-driven platforms and capabilities that improve how insights are generated, analyzed, and delivered
  • Guide the transition from prototype models to scalable product infrastructure
  • Ensure AI capabilities are embedded across both internal operational tools and external client-facing products

Examples of areas of development may include tools such as automated transcription and translation, AI-driven text and transcript analysis, behavioral signal detection models, or synthetic audience modeling.

Technical & Engineering Leadership

This role requires someone who can operate comfortably at both the strategic and technical level.

You will:

  • Serve as a hands-on technical leader, able to engage directly with engineers and AI developers on model experimentation, architecture, and product design
  • Help design the technical infrastructure needed to deploy and scale AI solutions, including cloud environments and model pipelines
  • Work with a variety of frontier AI ecosystems and models (e.g., large language models and related platforms) to evaluate how they can power new capabilities
  • Lead and mentor a distributed engineering and product development team, including international development resources
  • Ensure strong coordination between engineering, product, research, and leadership teams

This is not a purely strategic role, we are looking for someone comfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting close to the technology.

Product Vision & Strategy

In addition to technical leadership, this individual will define how technology supports the organization’s long-term growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Setting the overall product and technology roadmap
  • Identifying new opportunities where AI can create differentiated offerings
  • Establishing processes for evaluating, prioritizing, and launching new capabilities
  • Partnering with senior leadership to align product development with business goals
  • Contributing to broader strategic decisions around technology investments, partnerships, and growth initiatives

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a technical builder with strong product instinctssomeone who enjoys creating new systems and scaling emerging technology.

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • Experience building and launching AI-enabled products or platforms
  • A strong technical foundation with the ability to engage directly in development discussions
  • Background working with machine learning, AI applications, or data-driven platforms
  • Familiarity with large language models and modern AI development ecosystems
  • Experience using Python or similar languages for AI or data-driven applications
  • Experience deploying applications within cloud environments (AWS or similar)
  • A track record of building and leading engineering or product teams
  • Comfort working in entrepreneurial, fast-moving environments
  • A passion and interest for Behavioral Science

Experience in insights, analytics, or research-related industries can be helpful but is not required.
