Job Description

Position: Managing Actuary Health & Benefits
Location:  Hybrid 
Salary: $160,000-185,000 + Bonus

Actuarial Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished Health & Benefits Actuary with deep consulting expertise supporting employer-sponsored health plans across pricing, funding, and strategic benefits design. Skilled in medical trend analysis, renewal development, actuarial valuations, and underwriting support. Partners with HR and Finance leaders to optimize plan performance, mitigate cost drivers, and enhance employee well-being. Adept at presenting complex actuarial insights in clear, actionable terms and leading projects across diverse client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Leads experience studies, trend analysis, and contribution strategy modeling

  • Develops renewal projections, IBNR estimates, and self-funded plan financials

  • Supports vendor evaluation, RFPs, and carrier negotiations

  • Provides actuarial oversight on plan design modeling and regulatory compliance (ACA, MHPAEA)

  • Collaborates with consultants to craft client-ready insights and strategic recommendations

  • Credentialed actuary (ASA or FSA) preferred
