Title: Senior Director of Data Management
Location: Florham Park, NJ or Remote
Salary: $180,000 - 275,000

The Senior Director of Data Management is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of company's data management processes and systems. This role plays a pivotal role in ensuring data accuracy, availability, security, and usability to support informed decision-making across the organization. The Senior Director of Data Management will collaborate with cross-functional teams, establish data governance policies, and lead initiatives to optimize data-related processes.

Senior Director of Data Management How you will contribute:

Data Strategy and Governance:

-Develop and execute a comprehensive data management strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
-Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
-Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry-specific standards.

-Data Architecture and Infrastructure:

-Oversee the design and maintenance of data architectures, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines.
-Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data infrastructure scalability, reliability, and performance.
-Evaluate and recommend data management technologies and tools.

Master Data Management

-Develop, recommend, and align data hierarchy across key stakeholders including the Insights & Analytics, RGM, Sales and Marketing teams

Data Quality and Integration:

-Define data quality standards and implement data quality assurance processes.
-Facilitate data integration across various systems and sources to provide a unified view of organizational data.
-Monitor data quality metrics and lead efforts to remediate data issues.

Data Security and Compliance:

-Implement data security protocols and access controls to safeguard sensitive data.
-Conduct regular data audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with data security regulations.
-Establish disaster recovery and business continuity plans for data assets.

Data Analytics and Reporting:

-Collaborate with business intelligence and analytics teams to provide data for reporting and advanced analytics.
-Ensure that data is readily available and accessible for reporting and business insights.
-Support data-driven decision-making by providing accurate and timely data.
Team Leadership and Development:
-Build and lead a high-performing data management team, including data engineers, data analysts, and data administrators.
-Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
-Collaborate with business leaders and department heads to understand their data needs and priorities.
-Act as a liaison between IT, business, and executive leadership to align data initiatives with organizational objectives.

Budget and Resource Management:

-Develop and manage the data management budget, including resource allocation and cost control.
-Identify opportunities for cost optimization and resource efficiency.

-In-depth knowledge of data management principles, practices, and technologies.
