This pivotal role involves utilizing data science to elevate the businesses of our Global Media and Entertainment clients, enhancing their strategies with actionable insights. The company collaborates with a diverse array of global partners in this dynamic and ever-changing industry. The selected candidate will lead the Global Media and Entertainment Data Science and Insights team, bringing to the table a deep-seated curiosity about the media and entertainment sector, a comprehensive understanding of human behavior, and a drive to make a significant impact. Their innovative approach and insights will not only deliver concrete results for our clients but also profoundly influence the human experience.

Senior Vice President of Data Science You should describe yourself as:

Senior Vice President of Data Science Requirements

-Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science or similar -10+ years of analytics and consumer research experience that involved finding insights in the data, translating the findings to client insights, creating presentations, and presenting the results to clients
-An indispensable and highly influential individual contributor who is expert in an analytical capability.
-Strong analytical, problem solving & general management skills
-Deep understanding of BI, analytics, and data integration
-Practical knowledge of advanced analytic methods, principles of data science and Machine Learning
-Strong track record of driving multiple initiatives, product roadmaps, and support strategy.
-B2C research required
-Expertise in media and/or entertainment

Paul Chatlos joined Smith Hanley in 2013. He is currently the Data Science and Analytics Practice Lead for the East and West Coasts and a Principal of the company. Prior to joining Smith Hanley, he recruited marketing professionals in the pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology industries and also worked in Physician Recruitment. He prides himself on building excellent relationships with both clients and candidates in order to best address their hiring needs and career goals. He also believes that recruiting is finding the best “match” of candidate and opportunity. 

He holds a BS in Psychology from James Madison University. Outside of work, Paul enjoys playing golf regularly and is an avid sports fan.
