The Senior Medical Director for US Medical Affairs will perform a key role in the continuing clinical and commercial development of a Multiple Sclerosis product. This role will:
1.Set the US strategy for the brand in collaboration with cross-functional colleagues
2.Execute activities related to investigator and expert (KOL/HCP) outreach,
3.Investigator sponsored trials
4.Company sponsored non-registration trials
5.Publication planning
6.Grants, and sponsorships
7.Work closely with the leadership of US and Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Commercial and Product Management functions
8.Report to the Head, MS, North American Medical Affairs
9.Role may include management and guidance of a direct report

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

1.Support the US initiative for MS thought leader relationship-building to gain meaningful expert insights that influence priority areas of the product Life Cycle Planning team in support of business, clinical, and scientific strategy
2.Lead the US Medical effort to define and continually hone brand strategy in compliant collaboration with US Marketing
3.Works closely with Clinical, Pharmacovigilance, and Statistics to further differentiate the brand through meaningful post-hoc data analyses
4.Supports communication strategy for data generated in collaboration with Medical Communications Director, internal contributors, and agencies
5.Provide Medical support, education, and guidance to Commercial Marketing, Sales, & Market Access teams
6.Liaises with MS Global Medical Directors and the US Medical Brand Leads to substantiate alignment establishing a strong network between all team members and Ad Boards
7.Works closely with agencies and has responsibility for the financial management of the project including budget planning and reports
8.Defines and respects timelines and budgets
9.MD required
10.Physician Neurology board certified preferred
11.At least 5 years of experience in the Biopharma industry in Medical Affairs, with experience working with cross-functional in-house and field-based teams
12.Expertise in Multiple Sclerosis
13.Experience in both clinical development and patient care
14.Exemplary presentation skills
15.Collaborative and transparent leadership capabilities
